I’ve read many times that to eat healthy, it’s much easier when meals are planned. I have witnessed this first hand in my own house. There are many nights where we do not have any idea what we want for dinner or if we do, we go in the fridge and realize we are missing an essential ingredient to make it. Or how about all of those foods that end up going bad because we buy too much at the store and we don’t eat it on time?
After completing the Whole30 in March [click here for my results], I realized meal planning really is the easiest way to stay on track, eat healthy, and save money. I would not have been able to complete the Whole30 without meal planning. It’s too easy to run through a drive-thru or order delivery when you are not prepared.
After slowly falling off the wagon with my new healthy eating/food planning habits from the Whole30, it is now October and I feel like the best thing to do (before I let the holidays pack on another 15lbs!) is to start meal planning again. Not only for myself but for my family.
I designed this meal planning chart to help my family stay on track during this upcoming holiday season and beyond, and i’m hoping someone out there might find it useful too.
